Trend Spotting Watches

I've been seeing a lot of vintage inspired mens watches in magazines lately with piles of wrap bracelets surrounding them - I love the look.  

Here's a good example of what I'm talking about:

Upon checking around, this might be a relatively easy trend to follow - the watches (Timex) range from $80 to $175 at Nordstrom - not too bad for something you wear every day.

Here are some of the watches I found to implement the trend for spring.....

And of course, I'd compliment with bracelets from Gorjana or Stella & Dot.

My Birthday Dress

I think that even though I'm all grown up, it's still fun to pick out a dress for a special occasion.  Whether it be an Easter dress, or a fancy dress to wear to a wedding, or a dress to wear on my birthday dinner it's such a fun thing to do!  I have always been such a girl in this regard; I love getting dressed up and coordinating 'the perfect outfit' or ensemble for a special night out.  

So, with my (gulp) 34th birthday on the horizon in a couple of weeks I of course have already decided on the dress.

Of course, I'm obsessed.  It's perfection.  Hot pink, short, washed silk, what else could a girl want?  But......to all of you fashionistas - any brilliant ideas on shoes to wear with it?  I'm thinking nude patent pumps - but am open to all thoughts on accessorizing!

a teency bit obsessed....with Stella & Dot.

A little over a month ago, I attended a Stella and Dot jewelry party at a friend's house.  I had been to Stella and Dot parties before, but their new collection is divine and there are SO MANY must haves!  Aaak!   Enter my sister in law Angie, who attended the party with me.  She, like me, love love loved the jewels.  In fact, she loved them SO much that she became a rep a couple of days later!  

Therefore, I am hosting Angie's very 1st Stella & Dot party at my house this coming Thursday.  I am SO excited to have a few friends over to peruse, try on, and invest in pieces from the collection - not to mention drink a little wine!

More Spring Must Haves......I'm all about J Crew

I literally could be on the J Crew website ALMOST as long as I could browse around on Shopbop. 

Here are some of my top picks right now....

Sperry Top Sider Boat Shoes in CORAL! I'm a sucker for this color........

If you know me, I LOVE a great hat.  This is the ultimate Classic Fedora - offered in tan, but I like the Beechwood.

A fabulous way to dress up your denim - the Spangled Stripe Sweater.  Definitely the Beechwood White colorway.

Always a mini-skirt girl, this one rocks!  The Lunette mini comes in navy too......which is my choice hands down.

Last but certainly not least, my stylish Mom picked out this striped henley tank for me for Valentines day....I loved it so much I got another!  All colors are cute but of course navy and olive tree are my <3's.  Thanks Mom!

Spring Obsessions........an ever evolving post

As the Spring 2011 catalogs and magazines arrive daily in my mailbox and i continue to ear pages of things I want/need, I feel like I should share some of these before my head explodes!  I figure this way at least I'll have an ongoing list of spring trends and 'must haves' just in case someone throws away my stack.  Who could that be.....??  ;-)

How great is this headband for summer (with air-dried wavy hair).  It's only $28!

 These Stuart Weitzman sandals are simply the best wedge I can find out there.  Yes, there are many cheaper knock off versions of which I will probably buy, but if I had the cash ($365) I'd bet on Stuey for sure.

 I have been stalking these for a while - they were in the Nordstrom January catalog that I got, and they so totally reminded me of a pair of Loeffler Randall boots that passed me by a few seasons ago (those LRs were so fab that yes, i  am still thinking of them).  They're by Boutique 9 and are only $224 (a steal compared to a LR price!).  Gorgeous cut outs!

 Last but not least (or ever), this Tusk necklace by Gorjana could easily become a summer staple for me.  I would be layering it up with a couple of other staples and donesies for my summer neck garb.  $88 for something I would wear everyday?  yes.
